Federal Service Tribunal adjourns hearing of cases filed by FBR employees

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Service Tribunal on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of around 30 cases filed by the employees of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

A division bench of the FST comprising Kazi Afaq Hossain (acting chairman), and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi heard 26 cases filed by Muhammad Zahir Jan, Muhammad Sultan, Gul Rehman, Taimur Khan, Muhammad Jamil and others.

These appellants had raised matters related to “seniority’ and “financial benefits” before the tribunal. They had alleged FBR for depriving them from their due rights and privileges and prayed the tribunal to direct FBR to provide them the lawful benefits and seniority.

Another FST divisional benches, comprising of Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Syed Muhammad Hamid heard and adjourned two cases filed by Nasir Shafique and Tahir Mehmood. Both appellant had sought tribunal to re-direct the board to implement its earlier given order.
