Customs seizes two non-customs-paid Toyota Vitz ‏

MULTAN: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan range office has seized two Toyota Vitz during a crackdown near Kot Sabzal check post Sadiqabad.

Sources informed Customs Today that Customs Intelligence and Investigation was on a routine surveillance of vehicles and they asked owners of two Toyota Vitz bearing registration number AAL -577 /Quetta and AAK -564 /Quetta to show documents of the vehicle. The drivers Syed Naseer Ahmad, a resident of Quetta and Abdul Jaleel Khan Tareen, a resident of Pishin, failed to produce any legal documents of the seized vehicles.

Both the Toyota Vitz were Model 2004 with engine capacity of 1300 CC. The Customs staff detained both the vehicles on the suspicion of smuggling and asked them to bring original documents for verification.

Customs have seized both vehicles after constituting advance information report when both owners failed to respond Customs seizing staff. The values of the seized vehicles is Rs2.4 million and their duty taxes are of Rs.2.4 million.
