ISLAMABAD: The Customs Investigation and Prosecution has arrested Abdullah Rafaqat son of Rafat Ali Siddiqui from Rawalpindi. The suspect is allegedly involved in e-form fraud which is used for commercial exports.
Sources informed Customs Today that the customs authorities produced the accused in a customs court where the court approved his judicial remand and sent him to jail. Sources said that the accused is arrested with the help of investigation officer of Ayyan Ali case Mohammad Saleem.
The Customs authorities registered nine FIRs against him. Accused used names of different companies for export of different items abroad. They used different channels for banking transactions for payments. Sources also disclosed that there are several cases pending against Rafaqat Ali Siddiqui in customs court, while there are other persons who are involved in this scam.
