Customs Intelligence seizes seat covers for vehicles worth Rs 2m

ISLAMABAD: The Directorate of Custom Intelligence and Investigation has confiscated vehicles’ seat covers worth Rs 2 million, besides impounding the vehicle being used for the transportation of the smuggled items.

Following information, the staff of Customs Intelligence intercepted a Mazda truck bearing Registration No MLL-4399 going to Gujranwala from Peshawar. During the checking, the officials recovered a huge quantity of smuggled seat covers.

The officials asked the driver to show documents regarding the customs clearance but he remained failed to do the same; therefore, the recovered items were seized under the customs laws.
