Rs 5.68 billion goods exported via Multan Dry Port in Q1

MULTAN: Various goods worth Rs 5.68 billion were exported via the Multan Dry Port in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2014-15.

Major items exported through the dry port were made-up textile articles, garments, leather upper, cotton yarn and grey cloth during the first quarter.

Cotton yarn worth Rs 3.74 billion was exported in the first quarter. Rs 295.66 million worth made-up textile items and their threads were exported via the Multan Dry Port during this period of the current financial year.

The export volume of the leather upper from the dry port was Rs 433.97 million in the first quarter.

Rs 52.50 million garments were also exported from the dry port in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.

The dry port was utilised for the export of the grey cloth worth Rs 1.15 billion in the first three month of this fiscal year.
