KARACHI: The salaries of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) pilots have been increased provisionally.
According to documents, the pays of pilots flying Airbus 310 and Airbus 320 have been increased by Rs 0.13 million each. Likewise, the pay of an Avion de Transport Regional (ATR) pilot has also been increased by Rs 0.107 million whereas that of a Boeing 777 First officer by Rs 0.1 million.
The wages of Airbus 310 and Airbus 320 first officers have been increased by Rs 66,000 each and that of a first officer catering an ATR plane by Rs 51000. According to PIA rules and regulations, increase in the salary of the workers will result in equivalent rise in the pension.
