FIA Director Usman for curbing money laundering, smuggling through airports

SAILKOT: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Punjab Director Muhammad Usman instructed all officials deployed at Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) to check the passengers and their luggage in order to stop money laundering and smuggling.

Director Muhammad Usman issued these instructions during his surprise visit to the Sialkot airport for checking the performance of the officials. He urged the officials of FIA and Immigration to perform their duties in the larger interest of the country.

The director further said that latest technology will be adopted to curb the smuggling and money laundering through the airport. During his visit, he reviewed the record of the FIA and discussed various aspects with the official. He said that negligence while performing duty will not be tolerated at any level.
