SIALKOT: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Gujranwala Region has confiscated 16 cartoons of Iranian nylon rope worth Rs 200,000 from Gujranwala General Bus Stand.
Customs Intelligence Deputy Director Zainab Mehmood following credible information formed a team under the command of Intelligence Officer (IO) Mian Muhammad Yousaf and deployed the team at general bus stand to check vehicles.
During checking, the officials recovered 16 cartoons of Iranian nylon rope from a bus worth Rs 200,000.However the bus driver denied any involvement and said that a passenger loaded these cartoons from Lahore. The said passenger fled from the scene, while the recovered items were confiscated under the customs laws.
