LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a person involved in illegal business of hundi/hawala during an action.
According to FIA Deputy Director Khwaja Hammad, a team of officials, under the supervision of Additional Director Javed Shah, raided a shop in Masti Gate area of old city and arrested Ghulam Mustafa.
Ghulam Mustafa was involved in transfer of money through hundi from Afghanistan to Pakistan and from Pakistan to Afghanistan.
The FIA team during raid recovered foreign and Pakistani currency, including US Dollars, Euros and Pounds worth Rs 800,000. Cheque books, computer, laptops and other important documents were also seized by the raiding party of FIA.
