Customs Court hears 14 cases on Friday

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard as many as 14 important cases on Friday and recorded statements in some cases.

The court adjourned pre-arrest bail pleas filed by Muhammad Kamal, Khuram Shahzad, Salman Dawood and Imran Pirzada until the next hearing. All these persons are involved in smuggling cases registered by Customs authorities in Lahore and Gujranwala.

The Customs Court also heard a case of drugs smuggling against Muhammad Sadiq in which the accused was produced before the court for recording his statement.

The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day. The court heard cases of different areas of Punjab, including Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum.
