Customs Collector makes surprise visit to Sailkot dry port

SAILKOT: The Model Customs House Sialkot Customs Collector Ahmad Reza Khan instructed all officials deployed at Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) do not disturb any genuine consignment rather if you have any doubt than directly inform me I will take stern action against them.

Collector Ahmad Reza Khan issued these instructions during his surprise visit to the Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) for the checking of officials. He urged the officials of SDPT to perform their duties in the larger interest of the country.

He further reviewed the customs clearing process of Dry Port and checked the paper work cartons of consignments which were under process of customs clearing. He also said He said that negligence while performing duty will not be tolerated at any level if any official will create hurdles without any reason then inform me I will check the matter and take stern action against him.
