The Minister said 450 mmcfd LNG was being added in the SNGPL system that increased gas availability by 43 percent. He said government will overcome gas loadshedding during next two years.

He said that private sector is investing one billion dollars in LNG storage terminals while government is funding 120 billion rupees to augment the current gas pipeline system to ensure smooth supplies to all users.

He said it is the duty of the government to remove irritants faced by businessmen, asserting that sustained gas supply to industry is not a favour to the industry but is meant to ensure development in the country.
