BOR, PRA directed to meet target of ongoing tax year

LAHORE: Provincial finance minister has directed the high ups of the Punjab Board of Revenue (BOR) and Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) to expedite the efforts in order to meet the target of current fiscal year 2015-16.

Following the directions, the BOR and PRA have assigned targets to the subordinates to recover taxes from the tax defaulters in two remaining months of the current fiscal year.

Officials said that the revenue officers started sending notices to the landlords and tax defaulters, besides serving notice to recover agriculture tax.
