KARACHI: The Excise and Taxation Department recovered Rs 86.7 million during the month of April. This amount is recovered under the head of taxes and fines.
Sources told Customs Today that the excise department collected Rs 25 million through registration of vehicles, while Rs 9.8 million were collected as professional tax. The department generated Rs 40 million through other resources.
It is necessary to mention here that secretary excise Sindh expressed his satisfaction on the overall performance of the Excise and Taxation Department. He also hailed the output of the Sindh excise during above mentioned period, the sources added.
