Sara-e-Muhajar ASO impounds Hino Truck worth Rs 2m

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO), Sara-e-Muhajir, has impounded a Hino Truck worth Rs 2 million involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 560,320 during an action.

As per details, Deputy Collector Muhammad Rizwan Khan received information regarding the non-duty paid vehicle on which he constituted a raiding team comprising Superintendent Sardar Muhammad, Inspector Asif Hussain, Umar Bhatti, sepoys Rana Mehmoodul Hassan, Amin Bhatti, Ziaul Hassan and Muhammad Riaz to hold non-duty paid vehicle.

The ASO team intercepted the Hino Truck near police check post Dajil, Sara-e-Muhajir district Bhakkar and asked the owner named Khadim Hussain to show documents regarding the customs clearance of the vehicle but he remained fail to do the same.

The ASO team impounded the vehicle under Section 2kk of the Customs Act, 1969 and sent the case to the adjudication for further legal action.
