IHC adjourns hearing of tax references filed against Customs Appellate Tribunal, ATIR

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday adjourned the hearing of tax references filed against Customs Appellate Tribunal and Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR).

Tax matters heard by IHC division benches comprising Justice Noor-Ul-Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah and, Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani were adjourned.

The former bench heard the cases filed by M/s Capgas and PKP Kandanwari Limited. The bench adjourned the hearing until next month after hearing brief arguments and directed the sides to bring related documents on the next date of hearing.

IHC bench comprising of Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard the tax matters filed by M/s Aftab Traders, M/s MND Exploration and Production Limited and M/s Telenor Pakistan Private Limited. This bench also granted time to respondents in the cases and adjourned hearing to different dates.

The appellants had challenged decision of ATIR before the court. Appellants challenging ATIR decision had filed multiple tax references.
