Peshawar Customs impounds non-customs paid vehicles worth Rs30.4m

PESHAWAR: Customs authorities in the last months confiscated 16 precious non-customs paid vehicles worth of Rs30.4 million which include BMW and Toyota Prado Land Cruisers while 774 mobiles phones and cloth million of rupees also recovered from the smugglers.

Due to stringent security measures against non custom paid vehicles the custom department and intelligence wing has mad coordinated efforts to thwart the smuggling of non custom paid vehicles and during checking process they confiscated 16 vehicles worth of Rs30.4 million rupees along with smuggled mobiles.

The vehicles comprised of BMW, Corolla, Toyota Prado, Land Cruiser, Dumper, Fielder, pick up and Suzuki cars. During the month of April the custom department also seized dozen of wine bottles from Bacha Khan International Airport.

Besides this the department also seized 774 mobile phones worth Rs 1.5 million rupees along with wines and cloths million of rupees at Torkham border.
