Ashad Jawwad’s Appraisement East collects Rs 29.279b taxes/duties in April 2016

KARACHI: Collector Appraisement East Ashad Jawwad has collected at least Rs 29.279 billion taxes/duties under various heads during the month of April 2016.

Sources told Customs Today that the Appraisement East collected Rs 10,581 million under the head of customs duty, Rs 13,878 million under the head of sales tax, Rs 4,684 million as income tax and Rs 137 million under head of federal excise duty in the month of April 2016.

Significantly, the Appraisement East collected Rs 1,809 million on the last working day of April 2016 i.e. April 30 that include Rs 657 million under the head of customs duty; Rs 852 million under head of sales tax, Rs 293 million as income tax and Rs 7 million under the head of federal excise duty.

At all, Appraisement East has collected Rs 250,690 million taxes/duties since July 1 to April 30, 2016 that include Rs 81,227 million under head of customs duty, Rs 127,294 million as sales tax,  Rs 41,017 million as income tax and Rs 1,152 million under head of federal excise duty.
