KIEV: Wheat flour exports are record high in the current season due to lower demand for wheat flour on the domestic market. Since the beginning of 2015/16 MY Ukraine shipped abroad 35% more wheat flour than during the same period of 2014/15 MY (256.2 KMT against 189.5 KMT in July-March 2014/15 MY).
China remains the largest Ukrainian wheat flour importer. During the reporting period Chine purchased more wheat than during the whole last season. Also Indonesia, Palestine, Panama and Angola imported larger volume this season, as well as EU countries – up to 8 KMT against 5.5 KMT in 2014/15 MY. Estonia was the major importer among EU countries. We expect that export pace will remain high at least till the end of the current season, as domestic demand is still low.
