 Excise seizes documents of 280 vehicles for non-payment of token tax

LAHORE: The Motor Branch of the Excise and Taxation Department seized documents of 280 vehicles during previous week from Monday to Saturday.

DG Excise Akram Ashraf Gondal directed the officials to keep keen eye on defaulters and guide them about new token tax system and stickers for their vehicles.

The Excise has started special crackdown against token tax defaulters since start of the year and special teams are working in this regard.

According to the Excise officials, these teams were working in different areas of the city to take action against defaulters.

The teams established checkpoints in different areas of the city including, Shahdra, Jail Road, Thokar Niaz Baig, Barki Road and Ferozepur Road to aware people about clearance of token tax.
