FST bench adjourns hearing of complaints filed by FBR employees until next month

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Service Tribunal (FST) on Monday adjourned the hearing of four complaints filed against the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) with directions to submit supporting documents.

A division bench of the FST comprising members M Arshad Bhatti and Javed Iqbal Kasi heard the cases, carrying matter about seniority of the FBR officials. Appellant Mansoor Shafique has filed this petition against the FBR, stating that he was not granted due seniority despite serving for years in the board.

The bench would hear another case regarding “review’ of a case’ decision. This case was filed by Abdul Ghafoor.

Meanwhile, FST bench of Nazir Saeed and Ishtiaq Ahmed adjourned hearing of  Sher Afghan Ali’s and Fakhr ul Islam’s petitions for review and seniority matters respectively. The bench also directed the counsels to provide relating documentation to the tribunal. These cases will be heard next month.
