Azerbaijan’s gas export income for Jan-Apr declines a little on customs entries

WASHINGTON: The cargo customs entries registered gas export in Azerbaijan for $100.328 million for Jan-Apr 2016 versus $107.025 million for Jan-Apr 2015. The State Customs Committee (SCC) did not publish data on physical volume of gas directed for export.

Over Jan-Apr 2016 the share of gas in total exports amounted to 4.1% against 1.76% in 2015, 1.4% in 2014, 2.93% in 2013, 2.71% in 2012 and 2.61% in 2011. For Jan-Mar of the year country’s gas export (according to cargo customs entries), it was registered 597.609 million cu m for $95.4 million for Jan-Apr 2016 versus 487.789 million cu m for $75.836 million for Jan-Mar 2015.

Gas export in Azerbaijan (according to control-measuring devices) for Jan-Mar 2016 rose by 1.32% against the Jan-Mar 2015 index and amounted to 2.458 bn cu m against 2.426 bn cu m for Jan-Mar 2015. The export price for Jan-Mar 2016 showed high efficiency – $159.66 per 1,000 cu m, compared to internal prices. In January it reached $161.77, in February $131.24, and in March $170.73.

For Jan-Mar 2016 gas share in the overall export reached 5.3% versus 1.76% in 2015, 1.4% in 2014, 2.93% in 2013, 2.71% in 2012 and 2.61% in 2011. For Jan-Mar 2016 Azerbaijan exported 626,129 tons of gas condensate via BTC pipeline against 543,006 tons for Jan-Mar 2015. In 2015 (acc. to control-measuring devices) country’s gas export totaled 8.405 bn cu m versus 8.565 bn cu m for 2014.

In January 2015 gas export totaled 844.1 million cu m, in February 817.187 million cu m, in March 816.556 million cu m, in April 715.686 million cu m, in May 699.8 million cu m, in June 704.7 million cu m, in July 1.258 bn cu m (the best index for 2015), in August 154.476 million cu m, in September 606.99 million cu m, in October 772.3 million cu m, in November 803.353 million cu m, and in December 841.78 million cu m. According to cargo customs entries, it was registered 1.275 bn cu m for $20.739 million for 2015 versus 1.825 bn cu m for $304.68 million for 2014.
