RTO-II blacklists 25 companies on tax evasion

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) has blacklisted as many as 25 companies allegedly involved in tax evasion and getting refunds using fake names.

Officials said that the RTO-II wrote a letter to the FBR suggesting put the accused companies on blacklist. The board was also informed that the said companies have not been filing sales tax return for eight months despite issuance of notices, while some companies were using fake name for getting refunds and exemptions.

Responding to the letter, the FBR has ordered to blacklist the companies, including MR Enterprises, Ghafoor Saintary, Creative Enterprises, Dawood Khan and Co., Doha Chemicals, Haroon Sons, Grip Saintary, EOS Enterprises, Mirza Garments, Tabassum Furqan Garments, Muneeba Chemicals, Nabeel Traders, Hilal Houisery and Exports.
