RTO-II collects Rs 61.2 billion in 10 months

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) collected Rs 61.232 billion during first ten months of the financial year 2015-16.

As per details, the RTO-II collected Rs 35 billion in wake of income tax, Rs 26 billion as sales tax and Rs 232 million under the head of federal excise duty (FED) during the said period. The department observed almost 19 percent growth over the same period of last year.

It may mention here that the FBR assigned Rs 8.184 billion target to the RTO-II for current month, May, 2016, while during last year it was stood at Rs 6 billion.

Officials said that the RTO has expedited the efforts to recover taxes – income tax, sales tax and federal excise duty – to meet the target of ongoing financial year.
