Collector Ashhad Jawwad directs R&D section to expedite investigation process

KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement-East Collector Ashhad Jawwad held a meeting with officials of the Research and Analysis (R&D) section and directed them to expedite the investigation process and ensure early completion of the cases, which are being investigated by the officers.

During the meeting, the collector further asked them to make contravention reports against those importers and clearing agents, who found involved in tax evasion through mis-declaration.

The officials of R&D also briefed the collector about some contravention reports against the importers and clearing agents who involved in mis-declaration while clearing consignments consisting of chemicals. They added that all contravention reports will be sent to the Customs Adjudication for further legal action.

Collector Ashhad Jawwad showed satisfaction over the revenue collection and also suggested more efforts to achieve the annual target.
