KARACHI: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Quetta confiscated 50 units of air conditioners, besides impounding a vehicle being used for the transportation of smuggled items worth Rs 7 million during an action.
Following information, Customs Intelligence Deputy Director Inamullah Wazir established a check post at exit point of the city and started searching of vehicles. The team during checking intercepted a truck and recovered air conditioners.
The officials asked the driver to show documents regarding the legal possession of the items but he remained fail; therefore, the officials impounded the truck and recovered items under the customs laws. The officials also arrested two accused person during the action.
Meanwhile, the Customs Intelligence also impounded two luxury vehicles recovered from a godown during another action.
