Taiwan’s SAS says revenues grow 1% y/y in April

TAIPEI: Taiwanese silicon wafers maker Sino-American Silicon Products Inc (TPO:5483), or SAS, saw its consolidated revenues for April 2016 increase by 1.05% on the year to over TWD 2.28 billion (USD 70m/EUR 62m).

Figures on the company’s website show that on a month-on-month basis sales last month declined by some 6.5%. Combined revenue for January-April amounted to TWD 9.37 billion, up from TWD 9.06 billion in the same four months of 2015.

SAS booked its highest monthly revenues so far in 2015 in March — they were approximately TWD 2.44 billion. The second-biggest result was recorded in January when its sales were a bit over TWD 2.37 billion.

Hsinchu-based SAS is active in the research and development (R&D), manufacturing and sale of both semiconductor and solar ingots and wafers, as well as sapphire wafers. It also provides integration and installation services for photovoltaic (PV) systems globally.
