Sargodha ASO impounds non-duty paid Toyota Hiace Ambulance

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Sargodha has impounded an non-duty paid Toyota Hiace Ambulance worth Rs 1.6 million involving duty /taxes amounting to Rs 1 million near District Headquarter Hospital Sargodha.

Deputy Collector Muhammad Rizwan Khan received information regarding the non-duty paid vehicle on which he constituted a raiding team comprising Superintendent Chaudhary Muhammad Sardar, Inspectors Bashir Ahmed, Ansir Saleemi, Maher Ameer, Sepoys Muhammad Abdullah, Muhammad Imran, Muhammad Iqbal, Muhammad Mansha and Shafqat Mehmood to impound the said vehicle.

The ASO team intercepted Toyota Hiace bearing Registration No. JF- 0752 Sindh model 2000 and asked the driver named Abdul Munaf son of Imam Deno, a resident of District Badeen, to produce legal documents regarding possession of Toyota Hiace, but he failed to provide the same.

After his failure, the ASO team impounded the vehicle and registered a case against him and forward the cases to adjudication department for further legal action.
