Adjudication-I issues show cause to M/s MT Forwarding Agency for alleged tax evasion of Rs 1.6m

LAHORE: The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-I has issued a show cause notice to M/s MT Forwarding Agency for importing vacuum warmer food consignments through mis-declaration and availed unlawful concessions under SRO 659 and evaded taxes/duties amounting to Rs 1.6 million.

Sources informed Customs Today that Directorate of Post Clearance Audit scrutinized all the record of the consignments during which they found that M/s MT Forwarding Agency availed unlawful concessions and benefits by availing SRO 659 and caused a loss of Rs 1.6 million to the national kitty.
