Faisalabad RTO collects Rs 705.7m as sales tax, FED

FAISALABAD : Under the supervision of Chief Commissioner Shad Muhammad, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office (RTO) collected Rs  705.71 million in wake of sales tax and federal excise duty (FED), including arrears till May 24, 2016.

Headquarters Assistant Commissioner Sajjad Tasneem said that all commissioners of Faisalabad region have expedited efforts for the recovery of taxes following the instruction of the chief commissioner. The commissioners have been directed to take stern action against the defaulter.

As per details, the RTO collected Rs 694.21 million in wake of sales tax, including arrears. The current collection of sales tax stood at Rs 640.55 million, while remaining Rs 53.66 million were recovered as arrears.

Similarly, it collected Rs 11.50 million under the head of federal excise duty during the said period.

Assistant Commissioner Sajjad Tasneem said that all zonal and regional commissioners were making untiring efforts to achieve the annual target.
