SEOUL: Kia doesn’t forget Hollywood lovers and have presented an X-Men-inspired vehicle to fascinate the fans of this famous movie character.

If you’re a character from Marvel’s “X-Men,” you add multiple sets of claws. Kia paired with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment to build a custom X-Car to promote the DVD release of the latest film in the “X-Men” franchise.

The 2016 Kia Sorento is done up in all black with red accents highlighting portions of the front fascia and outlining the “X” along the sides. That symbol is also used in the grille, but the X-Car’s most prominent features are the claw elements that extend from the lower valance across the foglights and headlamps. In back, another set of three blade-like claws covers the hatch.

For people who live in caves without exposure to comic books, television, or any kind of media whatsoever, Kia is hosting a contest where you can guess which X-Men character inspired the X-Car. Is it Storm? Magneto? Your guess is as good as ours. That is, if your guess is Wolverine. Those who guess right will be entered to win a DVD copy of “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”

The 2016 Kia Sorento will also be used to promote the Australian Open, which takes place from January 19 to February 1, 2015. Next month, Kia will release a video on its Facebook and YouTube pages showing tennis player Rafael Nadal fighting the Marvel Universe’s giant robot Sentinels alongside the X-Men. It’s unknown how effective a tennis champ will be next to an immortal samurai with knives protruding from his fists and a flying woman who can control the weather.

Kia 2016 Sorento 1

This isn’t the first time Kia has commissioned a superhero-inspired vehicle. Last year, Kia partnered with DC Comics to build eight cars inspired by the Justice League. The vehicles, which included rides for Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and others, were auctioned off for DC’s “We Can Be Heroes” charity campaign.

Once the 2016 Kia Sorento X-Car is unveiled, it will be on display at Melbourne Park during the Australian Open tournament next year.
