Faisalabad Customs earns Rs 46m through auction until May

FAISALABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate earned Rs 46 million up to May of the current fiscal year through auction of vehicles and miscellaneous items impounded by Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO).

As per details, the Faisalabad Customs presented a number of vehicles, including Honda Heavy Bike, Suzuki Heavy Bike, Toyota Corolla DX, Toyota Vitz, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Hilux Surf, Toyota Vitz, Toyota Hiace and Toyota Corolla while eight vehicles attracted suitable bids.

Other miscellaneous goods, including heated display case, display refrigerator, petrol engine for motor bike, white board markers, fax machines, silk cloth, tyres, and others smuggled items were presented for open bid. Through auction of miscellaneous items, it collected millions of rupees. The customs also collects Rs 2 million by auctioning 3300 litres of petrol.

The auctions were held under the Supervision of Deputy Collector Rana Falik Shair Ali, by Superintendent Muhammad Javeed, and Upper Division Clerk Khadim Hussain.
