SIALKOT: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Gujranwala region impounded a vehicle on Grand Trunk (GT) Road.
Sources told Customs Today that Superintendent Muhammad Akmal formed a team under the supervision of Inspector Mian Muhammad Yousaf. During the checking of vehicles on GT Road, the team intercepted a Toyota Surf Hilux Van which was playing without payment of customs duty.
The team asked driver Nasir about customs clearance documents but he remained failed to satisfy the officials. Therefore, the team impounded the van and released driver after proper interrogation. The team shifted the van in the warehouse of the department and filed a case according to customs law.
