Mianwali ASO impounds non-duty paid Toyota Premio

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized a non-duty paid Toyota Premio car in bearing registration no A- 001 KPK. The market value of the seized vehicle is Rs 3 million involving customs duty and taxes of Rs 2,086,000.

Sources told Customs Today that the ASO team comprising Superintendents Chaudhary Muhammad Sardar, Umar Bhatti, Muhammad Mansha, Azhar Hussain Jafri, (inspector), Ashraf Khan (havaldar ) Sher Ahmad, Muhammad Amin, Muhammad Yousaf (sepoys) and Riasat Hussain driver during their routine checking found a Toyota car near toll Plaza MM Road district Mainwali.

The ASO team asked the owner of vehicle who was identified as Alamgir Khan son of Shah Nawaz Khan to produce legal documents but he failed to show any legal documents. The ASO team physically examined the vehicle and found nothing available in it except bogus copy of registration book. The ASO seized the vehicle and forward the case to Customs Adjudication.
