Sialkot Excise forms 70 teams for recovery of taxes from defaulters

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department Gujranwala division has constituted  70 special teams and started a campaign to recover Rs 2.10 billion from tax defaulters in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din and Hafizabad districts.

Disrict Excise and Taxation Officer Iftikhar Kahoat said that these teams will recover Rs 16.5 million as excise duty, Rs 88.5 million as professional tax, Rs 900 million as property tax, Rs 888 million as motor registration tax and Rs 7.65 million as recreation tax from all defaulters during this special recovery campaign in the Gujranwala region.

He said that the FBR strictly instructed to recover outstanding tax amount from defaulters. He said that excise teams will not spare any defaulter. He said that these teams are authorised to use all reasources for recovery of outstanding tax amount from defaulters.
