Customs Kohat Salt House collects Rs22m during the month of May

ISLAMABAD: Custom Collectorates Kohat Salt House collected Rs22 million against the assigned target of Rs 15.15 million during the month of May.

According to details anti smuggling formations of Kohat seized huge quantity of goods which includes seized around 20 to 30 non-duty paid vehicles and also recovered tea, cardamom, tyres, batteries, and cloth along with vehicles Rs18 million.

The sources said that Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Nisar Mohammad Khan strictly directed to use all resources to curb smuggling. He said the chairman FBR also hailed the performance of Kohat station in curb smuggling attempts.

It is also necessary to mention here that Kohat station showed outstanding performance in impounding non-duty paid vehicles. Collector Qurban Ali Khan also expressed satisfaction on overall performance of Kohat station.
