Sources told Customs Today that customs authorities arrested Muhammad Waris at Allama Iqbal International Airport when he tried to smuggle mobile phones from Sharjah.

The customs officials checked his luggage and recovered a number of mobile phones of different brands. The customs team arrested Waris from the airport for further proceedings and legal action against him.

Meanwhile, the customs high ups have strictly directed the subordinate staff to take stern action against smugglers, especially those who are using green channels for clearance of smuggled items.
