Directorate General Intelligence and Investigation Sukkur auctions perishable items

KARACHI: Directorate General Customs Intelligence and Investigation anti-smuggling cell successfully auctioned different items at Sukkur.

According to the source, the Directorate General Intelligence and Investigation Customs anti-smuggling cell Sukkur presented perishable items worth millions of rupees for auction including China made cosmetics items.

The seized and confiscated item and other perishable goods include different brands of cigarettes and China made lotion, dextrode monohydrate, Malaysia made toiletries, base oil, and Indonesia made betel nuts along with others.

The procedure for the disposal of seized / confiscated perishable goods as laid down in CGO 12/2002 dated 15.06.2002 read with rule 71 of the auction rules 2001 read with section 169 & 201 of the customs act 1969 has been adopted.
