Customs values of automotive bulbs revised

KARACHI: Directorate General of Custom Valuation has revised the customs values of automotive vehicle and motorcycle bulbs vide Valuation Ruling  No.865/2016 under the section 25-A of the Customs Act 1969.

The customs values of automotive bulbs were determined earlier vide Valuation Ruling No.661/2014 and superseded by an amendment.

A representation was received that the values of Chinese origin bulbs was on lower side as compared to international market. An exercise was conducted to determine the values of automotive bulbs afresh under PCT 8539.2110.

The values determined vide ruling shall be the applicable customs value for assessment of subject imported goods until and unless it is rescinded or revised by the competent authority in terms of Sub-Section 1 or 3 if section 25-A of the Custom Act 1969.

A revision petition may be filed against the ruling as provided under section 25-A of the Custom Act 1969 within 30 days from the date of issue of the ruling.
