Waheed Abro visits Gujrat-Kharian to check anti-smuggling campaign

SIALKOT: Anti-Smuggling Organisation Zone-I incharge Additional Collector Waheed Anwar Abro along with his team visited his zone from Gujrat to Kharian to check the anti-smuggling campaign.

During his visit, he checked many vehicles along with his team and instructed the drivers not to involve in illegal activity of smuggling. He also said that stern actions will be taken against the culprits.

He said that the present government has strictly instructed customs department to curb smuggling and impound non-duty paid vehicles. He added that the ASO staff was performing its duty following the directions of the government.

He informed that the department will not spare any person involved in smuggling and not accept any kind of pressure to release the confiscated smuggled items.

Waheed Abro said that all measures will be taken to plug the leakage of legitimate revenue.
