Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry upgrades website

DUBAI: The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry unveiled its redesigned website (www.dubaichamber.com). The upgraded website supports browsing through all smart devices. It is more user-friendly and offers value-added services and faster browsing. All the content can be shared on social media networks by the click of a button.

It contains a text-to-speech plugin known as ReadSpeaker in Arabic and English for people with vision impairment. It can read the website content to the user in English and Arabic and also has the text zoom feature for the visually impaired.

Hamad Buamim, president and CEO, Dubai Chamber, said that in today’s fast-paced business environment, the business community is looking for information sources that are easy and quick to access. Therefore, the renovated chamber website is rich content and easy to navigate. The chamber serves over 190,000 companies registered as members and offers strategic economic information to all types of international companies considering setting up a base in the emirate.

Said Buamim: “The number of visitors to our website increased by 44 per cent from 2011 to 2015 as numbers jumped from 671,000 in 2011 to 976,000 by the end of 2015. We expect the number of visitors to our new website to rise to one million by the end of this year, especially in light of the larger viewership supported by modern devices of communication.”
