Pakistan to export 500 ton mangoes to Australia after ban on India

KARACHI: Pakistan will export 500 tons mangoes to Australia for the first time whereas the government has planned to achieve the target of exporting 0.1 million ton mangoes this year.

According to the source, Australia has banned the import of mangoes from India due to tasteless and bad quality with pathetic packing after which Pakistani mangoes have been recommended by the Australian authorities.

This time Pakistan will export additional mangoes to the Australia as more than 0.1 million tons of mangoes are already being exported to the different countries. The source also informed that during the current season Pakistan will export 500 tons of mangoes to Australia.

Record 1.6 million tons of mangoes production is expected during the current year out of which Pakistan is expected to export more than 0.1 million tons mangoes to the different foreign countries including UAE, Europe, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Canada and now Australia.
