Deputy Collector Asma Hameed hears 28 cases

FAISALABAD: Deputy Collector Adjudication Asma Hameed has conducted hearing of 28 cases related to smuggling.

Sources told Customs Today that all the cases involved smuggling of foreign origin cloth,  non-duty paid Toyota vehicles,  LED, cell phones, liquor and other miscellaneous items.

Sources said that seven case were forwarded by Anti-Smuggling Organizations (ASO) Mianwali and two cases were forwarded by ASO Sara-e-Muhajir. The deputy collector also heard five cases which were submitted by Anti-Smuggling Organization Sargodha. Soures said that ASO Faisalabad filed eight cases which were related to tax evasion. Three cases were submitted by Air Freight Unit.

After conducting the hearing Deputy Collector Asma Hameed adjourned the hearing of all cases till next dates. Deputy collector directed all relevant parties to make sure their appearance during next date of hearing.
