TAIPING: A 41-year-old man, who had been using a workshop as a front for his drug activities, was arrested at Kampung Air Kuning here early today.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Harrith Kam Abdullah said that acting on a tip-off, police raided the workshop at 1.50am. “We found 10 packets of heroin and five packets of methamphetamine with a total street value of RM18,000,” he said, adding that the suspect’s urine also tested positive for morphine.
“We also seized a Volkswagen Jetta, a Honda Civic and a Toyota Hilux to assist in the investigation,” he noted. The cases are being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for heroin possession and Section 12(2) of the same Act for methaphetamine possession.
