KARACHI: The District Municipal Corporation (DMC), Karachi West, has approved Rs 4.52 billion budget for the fiscal year 2016-17.
This was stated by Karachi West DMC Administrator Iqtidar Ahmed. A spokesman pointed out that there is no new tax in the surplus budget. He said that a sum of Rs. 1.26 billion has been allocated for the development works.
The Administrator of DMC Malir, Tariq Hussain Mughal, announced a budget for the financial year 2016-17. He was of the view that there would be no new taxes in this surplus budget.
The priorities would be public welfare development projects as well as the fields of education and health, the Administrator further pointed out.
