Collector Sadiq’s Appraisement duty and taxes collection up 12 percent

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Apprasiement collected Rs 68,557 million against the assigned target of Rs 60967 million, exceeding the revenue collection target by 12 percent for the financial year 2015-16.

The collectoarte of Appraisement is being headed by Collector of Customs Muhammad Sadiq and the collectorate is responsible for collecting all the duty and taxes on goods and articles that are cleared in Lahore.

As per details the collectorate of Customs Appraisement has collected Rs 23,393 million on account of customs duty against the target of Rs 2,2691 million from all the dry ports while the collectorate collected Rs 6,523 million withholding tax (WHT)  from all the ports against the assigned target of Rs 5,623 million.

On the other hand the collectorate has collected Rs 3,8482 million on account of sales tax against Rs 32,32483 million target of sales tax collection for the financial year 2015-16.

Similarly, the collectorate collected Rs 157 million sales tax against the proposed target of Rs 168 million during the twelvemonths of the financial year 2015-16.

On the whole the collectoarte of Customs Appraisement collected Rs 68,557 million exceeding the target of all duty and taxes by 12 percent against the given target for the period under review .
