Azerbaijan’s annual inflation hits 10.5%

BAKU: Prices for consumer goods and tariffs for services in Azerbaijan decreased by 0.5 percent in June 2016 as compared to May 2016, said the country’s State Statistics Committee. The Committee said the prices for foodstuff decreased by 1.3 percent in June 2016 as compared to May 2016, while the prices for non-food goods increased by 0.3 percent, and the cost of paid services remained unchanged.

Prices for consumer goods and tariffs for services increased by 10.5 percent in Azerbaijan in January-June 2016 compared to the same period of 2015. Prices for foodstuff increased by 11.9 percent, the non-food goods’ prices rose by 15.4 percent, and the cost of paid services went up by 4.5 percent in the mentioned period.
