TACOMA: A stick of dynamite was found at the Port of Tacoma, forcing some workers to be removed. Tacoma police and bomb-sniffing dogs from the Washington State Patrol were brought in Thursday. Authorities gave the all clear at 12:40 p.m.
Tara Mattina, Port of Tacoma spokeswoman, said the stick of dynamite was found on Wednesday a worker who was cleaning equipment that arrived in Tacoma on June 25 from Chile. The company asked for law enforcement to check the area. About 13 to 15 longshore workers as well as some truck drivers had to stay away from the area.
