Sources at FBR administration revealed that the tax returns of officials will also be passed through the process of scrutiny. The returns will be selected for scrutiny through balloting. The officials, who found involved in making assets through corruption and misuse of powers, will be dismissed and their cases will be sent to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for investigation.

FBR Management Chief Junaid Jaleel Khan has asked all officials of Inland Revenue Service (IRS), Pakistan Customs Services (PSC) and ex-cadre to file their declaration of assets held by them till June 30, 2016 to ERM section-II.

HE also directed the reporting officers (ROs) and counter signing officers (COs) to send performance evaluation reports by July 20 and 30 respectively.

He further said that PERs have not been sent despite many notices, adding that the board was taking the matter seriously. He said that the board will not forward the names of officers for promotion to central selection board those have incomplete PER record.
