PCA directs M/s Taloot Computer Accessories to pay evaded tax of Rs 3.5m

KARACHI: Directorate of Post Clearance Audit (PCA) has issued notice to the management of M/s Taloot Computer Accessories to pay short payment, evaded tax and duties amounting to Rs 3.5 million at the earliest. The PCA also directed the company to clear the tax amount along with fine.

Sources told Customs Today that during scrutiny of import data it was revealed that M/s Taloot Computer Accessories imported many consignments  of used computers through their clearing agent M/s Zameer Associates from November 2015 to May 2016.

Sources said that M/s Taloot Computer Accessories mis-declared the consignments by using wrong PCT heading. During scrutiny of data it was revealed that company availed undue benefits and concessions by using wrong PCT heading and SRO.

Now PCA authorities issued final notice to the management of M/s Taloot Accessories to pay short payment within fourteen days alongwith fine of Rs10,00,00. The PCA authorities also warn the company that failing to pay outstand dues will led to stern action against the company.
